I recently had to reinstall the OS hosting my plex media server. I migrated all of my library files back, pointed the server at the right right directories, and it imported everything just fine. Issue is now I’m unable to match any of the movies. Even ones that already have data like cover art and descriptions are unable to find anything. I see some permssion denied listings in the logs provided, but I’m unsure what to do with that.
I do not have any specific solution for you, but there are currently other threads and people, myself included, that are having this issue. It looks like TheTVDB Did an update on their end and broke the connection with Plex. Not sure there is a solution yet.
I’ll note that I just tested out making a whole new database and importing my movies and I’m running into the same issues, and with seemingly the same files. I’ve also since ensured that there are full read/write access to the library directories.
I then reloaded my old database, and figured I’d try uploading some of the cover art manually. It won’t work with either a URL or a direct upload of the poster art. I tested this with “10 Cloverfield Lane” and my updated logs are here: Plex Media Server Logs_2019-08-07_09-38-57.zip (4.7 MB)
I found this thread: No metadata from TVDB and MovieDB and removed caches in /Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Caches/ ( rm -rf on both com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb and com.plexapp.agents.themoviedb ) and I’m still having the same issue.
