Migrating metadata shuts down Plex app on Synology DS224

I recently upgraded to a Synology DS224 NAS, prior to this, I made sure to copy the Library folder data from my old terramaster install. Upon installing the Plex server app on to my new Synology, I signed into my plex pass account, went into settings and made sure the empty trash and the scan options were temporarily disabled. From here, I signed out and then disabled the plex server app, mounted the Plex Media server directory, navigated to the library folder, and replaced/added the Media, Metadata and Plugin-Support folder from my old server to the new one inside the Synology drive. After re-enabliing Plex, I got a “Plex is migrating server message” which is fine, but shortly after I noticed the page would become unavailable and on the Synology page, it would say the Plex app has been manually stopped. Re-enabling the app, I can make it as far as the login screen before the app turns itself off again. I tried deleting the preferences.xml file, which I read online may be the culprit, but this just resulted in plex loading saying my server was unavailable, with all the options greyed out. Help would be appreciated, as I don’t want to rebuild and reorganize my rather large collection.

Server Version#: 1.29.2.536-7000
Player Version#:

The PMS version offered in Synology’s app center is quite dated (version 1.29.2 was released in 2022). There might be some deeper issues… but it could be worth trying to install a current version of PMS (download from the official server download page). The DS224+ should require the Intel version.

Otherwise it’ll be helpful to take a look at your server logs (you can access those from within the Syno’s file system if needed).
