Missing hubs in Samsung app

Is there a reason why the same recommended hubs are not available on the Samsung app as they are on the web client?

I assumed all of that would be driven by the server-side but, for instance, I don’t see a “top unplayed movies” option in the Samsung app but I do on my web client.

Thanks!

Even more odd, I see different hubs available between my same movie library stored on different servers within the Samsung app…

Have you tried customizing the hubs as in this article?
Didn’t even know you could do this till today myself

Are you sure you’re using the Tizen app?

Because if you still have an older model which uses the old Orca app, it won’t get any updates.

Yes, definitely on Tizen.

I also don’t see the “start watching” hub for TV shows in the Tizen app.but I do on my other clients.

Thanks for your help, what else can we do to troubleshoot? I did try retting my customisation and exiting the Plex app but that didn’t work…I haven’t yet tried completely signing out.

FWIW, I enabled the preview of the new UI in the Tizen app a few weeks ago, not sure if that would have messed anything up?

Can you show a screenshot of your home page?
As of now, I am not even sure if you already have the UNO user interface or still the older “type first”.

I do have the UNO user interface. I will share a screenshot when I get home. It’s definitely very odd that different servers are giving me different hubs (within the Tizen app) and that certain hubs are missing. It’s not just from the home screen, but even on the ‘recommended’ tabs of my movies and TV shows, the ‘manage hubs’ is missing some of the ones that are available elsewhere.

I’ll try uninstalling and re-installing the app as well. Do you know off hand, is the Tizen app with the UNO interface supposed to be synchronized with the other clients in terms of navigation choices? I don’t see an option for ‘sync’ like I do via the other clients.

THanks again

No, AFAIK this is currently only possible among different instances of the web app.

Here are a bunch of screenshots showing my home screen, movies and tv screens and the manage hubs on each of them.

You can see that there are quite a few missing, most notably I would like “Start Watching” from the TV shows and “Top Unplayed Movies” from my movies.

This app is the “Plex for Samsung” verion 3.109.2 and Tizen version 3.0. All of these libraries are on a Windows Plex Media Server version 1.16.3.1402

You’re quite right, there are a number of “hubs”/rows missing from the Recommended screen on the Samsung client. I’m not sure if those will be added…?

Hi,
I was wondering when someone else would have this issue. I have the exact same issue. Have yet to find a solution. For something that they harp on that is server driven it sure isn’t very good. LOL…Plex needs to worry more about the little things first and less about new development. Let’s get the the little things done first, there’s a lot of them to bring this software to where it should be. Just my opinion. Did you find a solution Krugster?

No solution, the hubs simply aren’t available in the Plex App for Samsung.

@OttoKerner are there any plans to expand the available hub selection here?

I have the same issue. Quite frustrating!
