When I first installed Plex Media Server on my Windows 10 desktop and created a new account as requested, no Installation Wizard appeared nor any notification of server search or any option to add files from my media libraries (all I get is a request to download the media server, which I have already done). No amount of uninstall, account deletion, reinstalls, new account creation, file deletions and all other Plex installations on other devices will bring back the installation wizard. I have done all this until blue in the face but to no avail. Even checked firewalls which appear OK. ANy ideas please before the rest of my hair gets torn out?

Follow this method to the letter. Use Chrome or Firefox (without any browser add-ins activated). Avoid Edge.

Well removing those registry entries seems to have done the trick - lots of lovely options to select and the server is shown. Many thanks for that - although this problem was there right from the beginning when I first d/led the media server software - no installation wizard, or anything else. Any idea what the problem was due to?

This usually happens if Plex server was installed on the machine before, using a different plex.tv user account.
