The missing poster issue has manifested in my personal library.
Additionally, a search on plex.tv for “rambo” only finds the 2008 and 2019 movies. Searching for “first blood” finds no Rambo movies at all.

I have the same issue. I just installed plex and scanned my movie library. I really like the new plex movie agent, it’s really fast! However it seems that the poster is missing on 3 of my movies (it’s replaced with a scene from the movie). The movies were matched properly as all the other information is fine. Here are the 3 movies:

Whatever the cause is, it’s getting out of hand.
Noticed this today on a few totally random movies… rare, with no pattern:
Rio Bravo - 1959
Sabrina - 1954
Shane - 1953
The posters shown appear to be a thumbnail from the file. Refreshing metadata doesn’t work.
EDIT: I had checked First Blood - 1982 as well, which looked fine, but it looks like the metadata refresh borked it. It’s now a random thumbnail. Appears I can replicate every title listed above as Django - 1966 and A Few Dollars More - 1965 are now missing as well.

I also noticed Rio Bravo (1959). The Poster is missing. I loaded it 20min ago and it has no posters showing. They are listed in the TMDB though.
Another found: I Vitelloni (1953/4) https://watch.plex.tv/movie/i-vitelloni (and many more if you scroll down to “More With Alberto Sordi”)
Linking mine here to: Posters Not Showing Up - #2 by d_nekrasov. It appears like I am on a different version but still the same problem. The only way around I found was by linking another movie with a working poster then changing the movie back to the actual movie and manually adding a poster.
I am seeing the exact same issue across my entire library…random movies, including the ones listed here and others, missing movie posters.

This has began 2-4 weeks ago, and continues today. Is there any word on a fix for this? I am beginning to wonder if more and more movie posters might start disappearing.
I have the same issue with Rambo first blood part ii and Rambo iii. I tried to upload a poster, but no luck so far.
Any update on this issue ? Is it being looked at ?

Same issue here. I manually loaded the poster and fanart for the missing ones, but Plex movie scanner does not show posters automatically for the mentioned titles… I’m on the Synology Plex server version 1.32.5.7349-7000. I did not try to revert to an earlier version. My next step…

Having the same issue here. Detects Rambo movies correctly but won’t display artwork despite the artwork being available on themoviedb.
Also noticed the same behavior’s for the Dirty Dozen (1967).
Also, when trying to change the plex agent from Plex Movie to The Movie Database Agent, Plex states I need to upgrade my library but nothing happens when I do and Plex Movie remain as the agent
