Missing posters after mass add

I have run into this issue again and again over the years. I have multiple things going on with my server besides Plex. When adding movies under high server load, Plex successfully matches the movie but does not auto pick a poster. Sometimes leaving me the awful task of manually selecting posters for these selected items. After adding 1000 movies, I’d say 100 or so were missing posters.

Can you integrate some kind of check to see which titles are missing posters and if they are, attempt to re-auto pick one? Again I am just assuming this is the issue with high cpu usage.

Have you tried simply refreshing the metadata of the respective movies (or the entire library if you don’t want to pick them individually)?

Yes this does not resolve it. I have to click edit on the movie, go to posters and manually select.

Figured it out for anyone else that runs into this. Turning off the following settings resolved it.

Library settings turned off:

Use local assets
Prefer local metadata
