Missing titles of episodes?

I recently added some Cartoon shows: Jungle Cubs, Disney’s Hercules and more.
And it seems like that the info for episodes are wrong so I had to fix almost every episode manually and on the Hercules season 2 the episodes are named like this: Episode 1, Episode 2 and so on.
I use FileBot and have been naming them like this: Disney’s Hercules - S02E01 - Hercules and the First Day of School

So what’s wrong here and what could I do to fix this without doing it manually?
Im guessing that the metadata is wrong on the agents since I have been double checking every episode using the order from: https://thetvdb.com/.

Please help me out here guys!

How are those files organized inside your tv-show library folder?
The file naming itself appears to be ok.

Do you see an option to match the show (vs. fix match)? That could indicate the show is running on embedded metadata and simply doesn’t have embedded episode information.

If that’s not the case… have you already tried refreshing the show’s metadata?

It’s organized the correct way, I have 300 other tv-shows that shows the correct info.

I have refreshed the metadata many times and still the same.

Is the show actually matched? If it’s only using embedded metadata but hasn’t been matched you won’t get any online metadata. Can you match that show manually from the show’s context menu?

How could I match with this site: https://www.thetvdb.com/ ?
Because if the matching goes through: https://www.themoviedb.org/
then I understand why there is a problem.
Because on https://www.themoviedb.org/ there is info for double episodes (2 episodes in 1)
And I have episode by episode from https://www.thetvdb.com/.

Double-check what agent you’re using for this tv-show library (e.g. on the library: ⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... → Advanced > Agent)

If you’re using the (new) Plex TV Series agent

  • Edit the show in question
  • Go to the Advanced tab
  • Set Episode ordering to TheTVDB (Aired)
  • Save the change and refresh the metadata of the show

If you’re using a legacy agent

  • Open the context menu of the show (⋮)
  • Click Fix Match
  • Click Search Options
  • Select TheTVDB as the agent and search
  • Select the correct show – this should automatically update the metadata using the information from TheTVDb
