My question is simple, but i can find no information on it. Setting up plex on my computer is simple, just download the program, and then I connect an external hard drive. Next I direct plex folders to the hard drive, and it list all of my tv shows and movies I have on my hard drive. Afther that I logon to plex on my tv, and it populates all the media on the tv.
I want to do this same thing, but connect the hard drive directly to my Nvidia Shield. It doesnt appear to work the same way. Is this even possible. The shield is not very smart, if it cant do something that the TV does with ease.
In general you can do that. Connecting an external drive will however require some extra steps on the Shield’s configuration
