Moved PMS to Linux, now not all TV Shows appearing

Hello,
I’m hoping someone may be able to help. I recently moved from a Windows 10 PMS to a virtual machine on ESXi in Ubuntu 20.04 server. I was following the instructions in this article:

However, when it was scanning my TV Shows, I thought it was done and I removed the previous file location from the library. I think that deleted a bunch of seasons of shows from the library. They’re in my media folder as it’s the same share on my NAS as previously. It’s just that PMS doesn’t seem to pick up on all the files now.

Do I just need to delete the library and re-create it? Scanning and refreshing metadata did not pull in the missing seasons/episodes.

Thanks!

Check your permissions on the paths, folders, and files. Double check the library is pointing at the top level TV folder

Turns out to be a naming convention issue. I had been using [02x01] as my seasons/episode notation and that had been working fine. Changed everything with TV Renamer to s01e01 and everything was recognized fine at that point. Odd that it had been working for so long, but not a huge deal since I had all my shows in TV Renamer already. Thanks!

Glad you nailed it down. PLEX is famous for “working until it doesn’t” with non-standard naming. It can frustrate folks who have used alternate naming for a long time.
