Movie Posters Disappeared on 80% of Movies

Player Version#: All current, whether web, shield, or ios

I renamed all the folders for my movies to include the tmdb tag (Title (year) {tmdb-XXXX}) and now 80% of my movies won’t display posters. I have refreshed the metadata, scanned, restarted, deleted the cache, nothing works.

How do I go about fixing this?

Have you upgraded to the new Plex series scanner/agent?

Yes, did so many many months ago. I have also had “Use Local Media Assests” checked for a long time also.

Edit a few of the movies.
Are there any poster options showing up on the “Posters” tab? Or is the tab completely empty?

If there are posters there, can you select one of these and the movie will then appear with a poster in the library?
(this is just a test. I’m not saying that you should do this with every movie.)

That won’t help you unless you have actual posters stored beside the movies – named as required: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220677-local-media-assets-movies/
