Hi All,
So just did a fresh install of Plex on my Ubuntu 20.04 server and copied over like 30 movies from my old server as a test. Scanned library and noticed that like half of the movies didn’t have posters. Instead of a poster I just get a random frame from the movie as the poster. For those 15 movies they were identified and all the metadata was there but no poster. I checked my settings on the old server and everything matched except on the new server the library had the scanner and agent both set to Plex Movie. So I changed the setting on my new server to Plex Movie Scanner for the scanner and Plex Movie (Legacy) for the agent and boom all posters came in.
From what I’ve read it looks like Plex Movie is new. Wasn’t sure if what I described is a known issue or if bugs are still being worked out but just figured I’d throw it out there. Like I said switching to the old legacy scanner/agents worked like a charm so I’m assuming the issue is with Plex Movie. If anyone has any troubleshooting steps I wouldn’t mind trying them. Thanks!!
