Movie Posters not downloading

I promise I tried to find the solution on Plex Forums and other locations as well, just can’t figure it out. When I add any new movies or try and refresh, my movies do not pull the correct metadata. The only way I can even get any metadata is by by going into a specific movie, and then selecting “The Movie Database”. My only complaint is that it isn’t IMDB so it doesn’t show the Rotten Tomatoes, etc. Thank you in advance for your help. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Below are some screenshots which I hope are helpful.

Wondering if anyone has any insight on this. I am posting the server logs which I should have done right away. I went ahead and tried to download metadata for “Dreamcatcher” before downloading the logs. Thanks again for any help.

Briefly checking your logs for obvious things I saw this:
Jan 15, 2017 18:04:25.557 [4204] DEBUG - Adding file for scanner: E:\PlayOn\Movies\Monsters Inc (2001.mkv
(we seem to be missing a closing ‘)’ dohickey around the YEAR) <---- like that one).

TMDB says: Monsters, Inc. (2001)

It’s the little things in life that matter - you may have matched your posted title with a fix incorrect match and if so that would be the reason.

You may think that Plex Movie (IMDB) is something special and it may be, but the real Movie Agent is The Movie Database. Under it’s tab it should be first in line - right at the top.

Plex Movie gives you all those repetitive, annoying, 144p trailers you simply must have, but as far as Movie Matching it provides something that very much resembles squat. The Movie Database is bad enough as far as accuracy goes, but if there is a higher podium for crappiness upon which the Gold Medal Winners stand - IMDB/Plex Movie would be standing there.

FileBot can do all this for you in seconds (link in my signature), but to get a good match you should check the name at TMDB and use that name. As far as naming - yours look pretty good. Always do double check (if you use FileBot it doesn’t have to double check - it’s a program. It’s flawless) so you don’t have one of those closing ‘dohickeys’ not present.

I have a similar issue where Plex does not download poster art for new and existing movies. Other metadata is sometimes updated, sometimes not. Fix Match will often update the metadata, but not the poster art. Nothing I have done so far will update the poster art.

Environment is Windows 7 Pro, currently using Firefox, Web 3.0.1 and Server 1.4.3.3433.

Logs attached. Please advise.

From your logs:
Y:\Movies by Name\ <— I hope that’s a Movie Library
…The Big Sleep (1946)
…The Big Sleep.mp4
^^Out of Compliance^^

Folder name is correct - File Name is NOT.

A Movie Library/
