Movie Trailers

I’m currently running the most current PMS on Ubuntu 14.04 and accessing my libraries from various android devices including an S6 phone, a Samsung tablet and an Nvidia Shield TV gen2 2017. Trailers for movies in libraries work perfectly but those for upcoming releases don’t seem to exist. I’m sure I’m missing something but I can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. All obvious ‘general’ and ‘library specific’ server settings have been checked accordingly and still no upcoming trailers. Please point me in the right direction. BTW, I AM a PlexPass member and have been for some time. EDIT: I just accessed my libraries using the Windows 10 client and the upcoming trailers played perfectly! Now I’m really confused. EDIT #2: ‘Upcoming trailers’ also performs perfectly using my Roku clients! Android bug?

full disclosure: I am using neither of these clients.
All I can tell you is this: the pre-movie trailer feature must be activated ‘per client’ in the preferences of the client.
(number of) "Cinema Trailers to Play Before Movies "

Thanks for your reply Otto. However, this doesn’t involve trailers to be played before movie. It involves trailers of upcoming releases available in the “Discover” feature of any and all clients. BTW, the setting you referred to is set the same in all my clients; Roku, Win10 and various Android clients. Only Android fails to play.

The setting I mentioned only applies to trailers played before movies.

The trailers in the ‘discover’ sections are different, AFAIK.
But this would then be Android-specific, of which I have no clue, sorry!
