Movies added to collection that I didn't add

After the most recent Plex server update in docker, movie poster thumbnails begin appearing in my movie collection for movies I do not own and did not add. These movies will not play. If I GET INFO on one, it shows: /data/Transcode/Sessions/plex-transcode-2e4beaee-c28a-47aa-8d47-d32b4487338b/media-01279.ts Unavailable. Part, File media-01279.ts Size 1.47 MB. I can delete it manually, but there are dozens. I have no plugins installed. What is causing this?

It looks as though you’ve got your transcode directory in your movie library folder path. Edit your movie library and check the “Add folders” tab. Make sure your transcode directory isn’t listed. This would include:

/data
/data/Transcode

Or anything below those. The point is, your movie library should point to the folder(s) which actually contain your movies, not the entire drive (or data directory). Typically you’d have something like “/data/Movies” where your movies would live, and your library would point there.
