I have noticed something similar, where “movies” scanning will seem to “hang”. But there is No sign of it in “activities/alerts”, but when you click … you see “cancel Scan” insted of Scan lib. This is on both the Last Synology version (1.18?) and on a tad bit newer version. It is not consistent but happens randomly, and i cnat say if this have happened when “auto-scan” after change in lib. (Dsm 6)
And of course the problem of movies not being added to library (as per my thread Movies not getting added to Plex - #28 by FordGuy61)
