Moving server files from one drive to another

Server Version#:1.19.4.2935
Player Version#:1.13.0.1275-bbd8d37b

So I’m sure there are already many people who have done this but here is my question. I am using my Synology NAS 5 bay, and i currently am using up all 5 drive bays. I have one volume with 2 4tb drive in RAID 1 and they host my plex server installation and database files. The drive is filling up and i will need to upgrade soon. My question is two-fold, one part is that was is the best way to move the plex server installation to a different drive on my synology NAS and two is will i lose all historic data? Any help is appreciated, been lurking on these forums for a while and i’ve been putting this off for a while now,.

PS anyone have any suggestions on some 8tb or 10tb drives to replace these 4tb ones?

You might want to look at this thread from April on how to move the Plex share to a different volume on your Diskstation.

thank you for this. i am just scared to do it. i guess i have to bite the bullet and do it soon. first got to save up for the drives first haha
