Hello,
I am trying to watch a Mp4 video on my PS4 but am getting an error message on the PS4 “Cannot play the media”
The video plays fine on the Plex on the Mac, other videos play fine on the PS4 through flex
I cannot seem to find any way to identify the issue or get the video to stream.
Please Help!

The MP4 formats supported by PS4 must meet the following standards:
– Video: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile Level4.2
– Audio: AAC LC, AC-3 (Dolby Digital)
If not, your PS4 will fail to play that files, you can either use the Plex Media Server to transcode the file formats for you or convert unsupported MP4 to PS4 playable file formats with a video conversion tool.
@emma24xia that’s not really accurate, what you posted links to what is supported by PS4’s native video player app which is drastically different than what Sony makes available to us.
