I was wondering if there is any way with multiple collections to hide items in one collection, but not have them hide in another collection for the same item or uf you cold individually hude or show items in a collection vs just the whole collection. My issue is i like to group movies together that are trilogies or more, as well i like to have tv shows with the movies they have in a cross collection but i also like to hide it in my library to same space and scrolling time but if i add an item from a collection to another say a friends collection of random stuff but i have show items it seems to override the first collection and the item shows back up in the library which i would like to hide those already in other collections but to show the things in the random collection in the library if not in a named collection any one have any ideas? Or is this even possible?
Sadly that’s not possible.
In the current implementation of Plex, the option to show items in 1 collection overrules any options to hide them in other collections. There’s a feature suggestion to change that but Plex have previously commented the current approach was designed that way on purpose.
Edit:
You can currently only “trick” Plex by using a smart collection. Those don’t interfere with the visibility options of regular collections
Ah i fidnt think therr was a way after scrolling and searching but i thought id see if there was maybe something im missing. Though it would be alot easier if you could add a collection to a collection and then could still show iyems in the collection because the item being shown woild be the first smaller collection it would be nice if they implemented something like that
there’s a suggestion for that too ![]()
Thanks hopefully they might implement it
