Background info:
PMS - Version 0.9.12.7, subtitles are set to be always enabled and preferred in Hebrew, Hardware more than capable (i7 4790k, 16GB RAM, 240GB SSD, 24TB WD red’s (2-way mirrored).
Library - Highly organized according to Plex guidelines (folder structure and file names), .srt files in both English and Hebrew with proper county code and UTF-8 encoding (when external). The Library consists of MKV, MP4 and AVI video files.
Client - RPI2B overclocked (1000,500,500,2), clean installed 0.7 with “Plex Black Edition” skin.
The Issue:
Subtitles seem to work for sure only when transcoding which makes me believe the RPi doesn’t request subtitles when asked to play something it doesn’t need to transcode. Have I done something wrong in setting up or configuring?

On the pre-play screen, select the subtitle you want and then press play, Rasplex and PHT default to no subtitles.
I had the same a while ago, just after I upgraded my PMS to a newer version, while RasPlex still running on 0.6.0.
It was solved by updating my RasPlex to 0.7.0.
Yesterday I’ve updated my PMS to 0.9.12.8 and got the same issue again. No subtitles on RasPlex.
When I watch the same movie or TV-show via the WebUI or AndroidApp, I got perfect subtitles.
