Multiple Sources for the Same Content - Ghost Server

Server Version#: Version 1.41.5.9522
Player Version#: Plex Web Version 4.145.1

Hello,

Description:

I am currently experiencing an issue with my Plex Server:

Multiple Sources for the Same Content:

  • When I select an album, multiple identical sources appear under the name “ZimaPlex”.
  • Each source contains a portion of the album’s tracks.
  • When I check the information, all files are indeed in the same folder.
  • Example: When selecting the album “Don Letts Presents… The Mighty Trojan Sound”, three “ZimaPlex” sources appear, all identical.

However, all files are in the same folder and were uploaded together.

And I only have one server configured.

It’s as if there are ghost servers. This issue is not isolated; several albums are affected, but not all.

I tried refreshing the “metadata” and “analyze” on the album from the search without success.
And I cannot merge the separate disk parts.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Plex and perform a search.
  2. Select an album.
  3. Observe the available sources for this content.
  4. When selecting a source, a portion of the tracks is displayed.

Request:

How can this problem be explained? How can it be resolved?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Are you certain that you have only one music library on this server?
If you are, you might want to perform a database repair.

Thank you @OttoKerner for the quick answer and the suggestion.
I only have one configured music library, but how can I verify that?

Regarding PlexDBRepair, do I need to run it from the Docker container, or is it okay to run it directly from Debian? I thought it wouldn’t be an issue if the script works on the database file. Otherwise, I don’t see a command to back up before the automatic repair.

Open the hosted web app,
put the left side bar into MORE… mode (scroll to the bottom to see this link)
See if your server name appears only once or several times.
And how many libraries appear under its name.

Hello,

My server appears once.

What is the difference between Plex SQLite and PlexDBRepair?

PlexDBrepair is a script that uses Plex’s SQLite binary to perform its actions.

Thank you for the info.

I tried the script:

  • automatic
  • vaccum
  • reindex

Not ‘repair’ because it is used by automatic.

It doesn’t change anything and the problem is still the same.

I am having the same issue. Has there been a fix for this?

Here is what my plex looks like:

Did a database repair last night using the " Repair a Corrupted Database" on plex’s support article.
