I’m trying to setup my Plex Media Server to manage my music. I already use it for movies.
It allows me to “Add a Folder” by browsing for it, then attempts to scan it and ultimately fails, crashing the Plex Media Server. The music is on a USB attached to the same computer as the PMS is running but it’s pretty big, currently about 160GB over 18,000 files. If I point it to a different folder on a different drive with far less files, currently only about 200, it works fine. My question is, is there a maximum folder or file size for music on PMS.
I’m moving from an older Logitech Squeezebox Server but it’s the same basic concept as PMS.
