My player keeps telling me I need Plex Pass to play local files

I had to wipe my computer and reinstall Windows recently - ever since then, I get the popup telling me I need to get Plex Pass to stream the local files on my laptop from my browser. They work fine on other devices on my network, but not on the PC they’re hosted on. Please help!

Are you using a VPN by any chance with your browser?

Do you have a music library by any chance. Music streaming is free so you can see the IP it thinks it is playing from on the Now Playing in the dashboard.

I’ve used a VPN before but it still happens even when it’s off.

I just added an audio file. It just says local. I’m playing it from inside the same folder some of my video is in, so it shouldn’t be different.

Just wanted to see if anyone could give a little more guidance on this.
