Plex was working last week. Now it wont open and when I log into my online account, my media is no longer there. I’ve tired deleting and re-downloading the app but that hasn’t worked. Any ideas? I’m currnetly updating my Mac with a software update.
Did you by chance change your account password and opt to sign out all devices, or delete your server from the list of authorized devices?
Both will result in the server being unclaimed.
Can you still see your server by opening http://127.0.0.1:32400/web from the same machine (or http://[local PMS IP]:32400/web if the server is running on a different machine in the same network)?
Did you… try opening the Plex Menu in the macOS menu bar and picking “Open Plex…”?
That message is what happens when either:
Your server is not claimed. or…
Your server is logged in to a different account than the one you are logged into on your client/web browser. This second account was not granted access. If you have another account, try logging in as that account and see if the server is accessible.
Yes, every time I try to open up the app, the icon quickly pops up in the menu bar for a split second and disappears. I don’t have another account so the server isn’t being shared with anyone else.
