My Plex Media Server downloads Metadata but no posters

Hi,

So I used to run my Plex Media Server on a Mac System but that died on me. So I have moved it over to my Windows 10 Pro system and all was working fine. Then I had to restart the system and then all my posters have disappeared.

The Movie, TV Shows and Music Metadata downloads but the posters show that they are there, but shows nothing just a small box. Seen below in the Edit Movie Section:

This is happening to all my music, tv shows and movie files and is becoming annoying now. Has been the same for at least the last 3 days. Have tried to fresh install and nothing has changed.

Can I please have some help.
Thanks Kieran.

Did you move the Plex data folder away from its default location? If you did, you must use a hard drive which is formatted with the NTFS file system.

All of my Plex Files run on a seperate hard drive formatted with the exFAT. It has been working on that drive for the last 2 months but has now decided to die once adding some new media.

I am not talking about the media files themselves, but the plex data folder. If you indeed moved the Plex data to the exFat drive, then it is no wonder it is not working

The Plex Data folder is on that drive. I changed the location in the Plex Server panel as I don’t have much storage on my Main Drive. It’s been set like that for ages and nothing has changed.

if the drive is formatted with exFAT then this won’t work.

Ok, I will reformat the drive but is there any reason why this has been working for the last 2 months and now decides to stop?

Maybe this was the first time you restarted the machine or Plex server?

Nope, the system tends to be restarted 1/2 times a week. Nothing has changed on the system as it’s literally used for just Plex and nothing else.

It doesn’t really matter why. exFat is not supported.

Ok, Cheers for your help!
