My PMS is running on WD My Cloud Home but not accessible. It’s supposed to be always available as it is always “ON”

Mind sharing some more details on your setup? That little information makes it hard to help :wink:

  • Is it not accessible via https://app.plex.tv/desktop and via https://[Your WD MyCloud IP address]:32400/web
  • are you trying to access it from within your home network or remotely?
  • do you get any error messages?
  • …

I am in the home network, and it is’nt accessible both ways from https://app.plex.tv/desktop and also from my ip adress:32400 (WhIch I think must be 32402 if the PMS is on WD MY Cloud Home, if I’m right).

From the https://app.plex.tev/desktop I can access tomy accounts on both iMac and Macbook ut not from the account on the WD My Cloud Home. No error messages received but the arrow is going round and round…

Did I get this right:

  • your server is Running on the WD MyCloud
  • you can access it using the Plex clients on your iMac and MacBook
  • you cannot access it through Plex Web

Correct?
Or do you operate a separate Plex server on those Macs?

As for using port 32402 — I don’t think that’s correct…
If you cannot access through the addresses above… what if you try http instead of https?

Right to the second option.
I have 3 PMS: Alvar MyCloud on iMac I access perfectly but of course the iMac must be ON
Al My Cloud on Macbook I access perfectly but of course Macbook must be ON
Alvar núvol on WD My Cloud Home it should be always available but it isn’t.
My idea is to delete one of the two which are running on the Macs, but I wait for having a stable solution for the MyCloud Home.

Every mac has a PMS and Macbook has also a PMP.
iPod and iPhone have their Plex Mobile Media Player.

I cannot open with http:// either.
Might it have something to do with secure connections?

Hi did you get any further replies helping you to sole the problem?
I have exactly the same issue using My Home NAS and access (on my home network) with computer. .
Strangely the iPad (on the same network) does seem to be able to access the Plex Server on the My Home.
