Player Version#: not sure
essentially i just deleted plex but when i had it installed it would slow my synology device down to a snails pace and it would constantly be stuck on making intros or indexing music and it would constantly give me errors in console one is a database lock i then tried rebuilding and reindexing and nothing worked it would also say “we lost connection to the server” or “we couldnt find a playback method” and when i try to reinstall it it comes back to normal and wont delete or factory reset plex even after deleting the server from my account Plex Media Server Logs_2022-09-28_17-59-30.zip (7.4 MB)
im also going to note that when i start it up it would make me wait and say and it would crash say the server is unavailable start crash start crash for 10 minutes and then itll work
Don’t expose a new install to more than a few films and TV shows. Give it some time to get itself sorted, like an hour. Once you’ve disable a bunch of the automatic CPU intensive tasks that might occur when you add your media, then add in more, maybe 100 at a time.
got it right now i was able to install a new fresh install and i only added the movie i had trouble with and one i didnt and both did the exact same thing my synology is faster now though
it works for a while but for me it just goes to couldnt create playback session" or connection to server has been lost but on the samsung app it doesnt do that which is weird
and that was on a fresh install too
these are some of the errors i get on a fresh install though

Between the adding new media and music playback, your logs are really busy.
Adding all those thumbnails (which can be disabled in the “Advanced” tab for each library section) are hard on the CPU.
In the oldest Plex Media Server.5.log indexing a song with item ID in the 125,000 range.
In the newest log indexing a song with item ID in the 135,000 range.
You can’t expect anything to play while something like that is going on,
but luckily I’m often wrong.
I wish you had experimented with playback on a fresh install, though, with only a dozen videos in your library. Then you could safely restart PMS which causes it to make a fresh new log file, demonstrate the playback problem for 30sec, then Troubleshooting → Download Logs.
The SSDP error. What device is at 192.168.1.1?
That’s definitely a nice collection of music. Plexamp will love it.
You can access PMS with that local web app, good.
That shows it’s running and claimed correctly.
You can use that local web app to go to Settings → Troubleshooting → Download logs
When you look at Plex Media Server.log is it still furiously working on the database?
