My server says The server "EX4100" is unreachable

Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156
Player Version#: 2026.0.0
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

I went to watch a movie on my plex and it said the server was unreachable so I rebooted it and still have the same error so I grabbed my laptop and logged into the plex.tv and then into the server which is on a wd ex4100

I recently changed my router/modem to a BGW320-500 which AT&T sent me as my old one was old and playing up

my plex was working until this evening when I went to watch a movie

I look at the NAT/Gaming and did not see anything so I added the hosted applications tcp to 32400 and said it was needed by ex4100

I restarted my router and still keep getting the unreachable message so I can not play any of tv shows or movies

any help would be very much appreciated

John

That is unnecessary for local playback.

Port forwarding is used for remote access.

Make sure Plex Media Server is running. There have been reports of Plex not starting automatically after WD NAS are rebooted.

If Plex is running, from a PC on the same network (not remote), point a private/incognito browser window at the IP address of the NAS. For example, if the address is 10.1.2.3, use http://10.1.2.3:32400/web (try https if http does not work). See if you can login, see libraries, access server settings, etc.

Regarding remote access and port forwarding with the BGW-320, see Changed ISP - No Remote Access with AT&T BGW 320-500 - #3 by FordGuy61.

thank you @FordGuy61 as I did the numbers thing and it started up my server and then it asked me to claim it and after i did that all my stuff showed up and I was able to play my movies and tv shows on my projector and my phone. thanks for sharing your wisdom

I truly appreciate the help
