Is it possible to change the default naming standard for Plex? On Video Station, almost all files are recognize automatically but on Plex, I have to associate each files.
I have multiple files with the same name and they are appearing such way but I don’t see how selecting the good one for play.
re #1/ no, you cannot change the naming standard. For movies it’s pretty straight forward: Movie Title (Release Year).
However… your screenshot looks like that’s “a lot” of different versions of the same movie (or related extras). When it comes to extras – let’s have a look at how to name them so they’re being recognized as such
re #2/ Plex will group different files it considers to be the exact same movie as different versions (e.g. different qualities). In such a scenario you can click on Play Version to pick which version you’re going to play.
This will bring up a selection where each version is listed with some technical qualifiers (e.g. resolution, avg. bitrate).
Could you show an example of how you organized / named your files?
You could start by clicking on the pencil icon (Edit) and share the information from the Info tab
