Nas access

Hi

I need to access films that are stored on Nas Synology Server.
When I want to add a new library I can’t give the network path.
Add folder is missing I can only add films that are stored in local area.

Thanks in advance for your help.

First you have to mount your shared folder on your server then you point your library to that path (Linux)/letter (Windows)

why running such an old server?

Is the server app running on your Synology or on a separate computer? (I’m unclear why you would add a network path if server is running on the Synology (as you tagged topic) and that is where media is stored

If it is running on windows as long as Windows can see and access the Syno in network locations i believe you should be able to use a UNC path

Hi

M’y Plex serveur is on mycloud Nas ans seems not updated since a Long Time…

When I create my library there no field for add the network share folder path.

It’s strange I can only add film that a stored on my wdcloud.

I want to add film that are stored on my New Synology

Thanks

That is the way the android based WD MyCloud Home work. You cannot add other media folders to it. It was a limitation requested by WD when we made the server for it.

Ok now it’s clear I m going to migrate my serveur on synology.
Do you know if there is a easy way to migrate ?

Thanks for all.

Have a goog day.

If you can get access to PMS’ internal metadata, you can use this technique to import it into Synology.
