NAS (QNAP TS-451+) shows as offline on phone; when I access from PC it IS available; offline external too (outside my network - when trying to access remotely)

Server Version#: Version 4.63.0
Player Version#:

For some reason, when I try to access my Plex Media Server via my phone (Plex residing on the QNAP TS-451+) it shows as offline. When I access it from my PC, it seems to work fine. Thinking this would be a firewall issue, but I can access it fine from my PC. Not sure why my phone would show it as offline; when I am external (outside the house) it shows as offline as well. Any ideas what the issue could be? As a test I setup a second Plex server on m laptop; readily accessible via my phone. Very strange. No firewall or routing that I know of that I set up custom. Lost and not sure what the issue is! Please help

I’ve seen the mobile apps get confused / loses the Server ID number.

You can “rehome” (choose a new server as your default) .

My preferred method is to uninstall, reinstall, relink (I think it’s easier).

I pick the server again and all is well.

Much appreciated! That looks like what the issue was. Well it was that or doing a “fresh” install of Plex and letting it rebuild the library overnight (likely overkill)

I just moved to a QNAP server a couple months ago and I’ve been having this issue. When testing the remote access, it will come up with a failure, but then I test it again and it works. Hoping it’s just an issue with the version I’m running.
