NCIS: Los Angeles Can't retrieve TVDB metadata

Suddenly all the info for this series changed. At first several episodes were named by the airing date, then all reverted to just the episode number. I’ve tried the plex dance, renamed the episodes like, NCIS - Los Angeles - S01E01 - Identity.mp4.

The agents.thetvdb log files show, “Error opening URL ‘https://meta.plex.tv/tv_e/95441/ncis+los+angeles/2009’”
If you follow the URL above, it returns a 404, not found error.

Then it goes on to iterate through the episodes, stating that there is no media for the episodes, so skipping population of episode data.

All other shows are fine, simply using s01e01 type file names.

Can we see you file structure for the TV series not just season.

You’re using MP4 files - do this under all tabs for TV Shows and Movies:

Move Local Media Assets to the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Red: where it was
Green: where it goes

Then refresh metadata at the Show Level.

It is still possible that you’ll have to Fix Match for this show - as there are so many other shows with much the same name and Plex is NOTORIOUS for not being able to figure it out.

Thanks for the fast reply. I have the Local Media Assets at the bottom, already. Refresh metadata does nothing, nor does rescanning the library. When attempting a Fix Match, it only offers one choice - the one I already have…

I think this has more to do with thetvdb: Note that my log files show a 404 error when trying to retrieve the data.

That error is not related. Reviewing your logs , it appears the scanner is getting stuck on that Season 00 episode. Can you try again leaving that file out?

Ahh - thanks, that was it. Interesting, since that folder has been there forever, and wasn’t changed.

It use to work for me prior to watching and deleting. Strange one…
