Need assistance with Remote Access

I could use some assistance getting remote access to work for my server. I tried all the suggestions in the support article, but without success. Centurylink is my provider and my modem/router is a Technicolor C2000T. My Plex server machine is running Windows 10 Home edition. I have a Plex Pass.

Can anyone help me out?

thanks

let’s share some more details about your setup…

  • do you have UPnP activated on your router or do you use a dedicated port forward?
  • what is your configuration in Settings > Server > Remote Access (without exposing your public IP)?
  • can you access your router’s public IP and the Plex port (either 32400 or as defined for the dedicated forward) from outside your network? you can check this with an online service such as http://canyouseeme.org/

Yes, uPNP and NAP are enabled.
I tried port forwarding, but without success.
My Remote Access page shows the message

“Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network. Learn more”

below that is displayed
102.168.0.2:32400 <- xx.xx.xx.xx:32400 X

the arrow is green, the X is red.

The manual port forwarding box is currently unchecked. As I mentioned, I did attempt this (although I’m not 100% sure that I set up my router correctly)

I cannot see my plex server from canuseeme.org. reason: connection refused.

how is your router configured when it comes to UPnP?
any active firewalls which might block this kind of internet traffic on the machine running the server?

my UPnP page has two settings:
enable/disable UPnP
enable/disable NAT-T
both are enabled.

below those settings is displayed the UPnP NAT-T List
There are 8 devices in the list
every one of them has the IP address of my Plex server, TCP protocol, and a port range ending in 32400. The starting ports are all different.
