I just upgraded to latest version (see above) and I am trying to figure out how to add a friend so he can have remote access to some of my libraries. I already had a different friend who shows up as a “Friend” under users and sharing". It appears the option for adding a friend has changed as now there only appears to be options for “invite home user” and “create managed users” and “Enable guest”. The online docs talk about adding a friend but that dialog appears to have changed. I have tried both “invite home user” and “create managed users” but and neither adds him into the friends section. If it matters, he already has a plex account on plex.tv although if necessary, I can have him create another id on plex.tv.
What exactly are the steps to add someone as a “friend” so they have remote access to libraries that I choose? Or did “friend” just change to “home user” or “managed user” but still provides same functionality? (Again I tried both and neither option showed up under “friends” in the “users and sharing” screen.)
Seems like it should be simple but somehow I think I am missing something.
