Need help setting up remote access on AT&T BGW320-500

Server Version#: 1.40.5.8921
Player Version#: 4.137.1

I have my plex server on my PC and I just switched to AT&T Fiber. It is pulling my library from the external harddrive attached to the PC. I can not figure out for the life of me to take the steps provided in previous guides (one mentions mycloud home). I am getting an error that my library is not able be accessed remotely. If someone has a similar configuration and could walk me through the steps to take, it would be greatly appreciated. I have familiarity with accessing the att router through 192.168.1.254 and making changes there, and using ipconfig if needed, but at this point I think I need the exact steps to take if possible.

Substitute your PC for the WD My Cloud.

You should connect the PC to the network via wired Ethernet if possible.

To set a static address on Windows 10: Settings → Network & Internet → Status. Then click on Properties.

Set the network profile as Private, then scroll down and edit the IP settings. Change Automatic to Manual and enter the IPv4 address, mask (24), gateway (192.168.1.254) and DNS servers (use public servers such as 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare), 8.8.8.8 (Google), 9.9.9.9 (Cloud9)).

The method for Windows 11 should be similar.

If your PC has two network interfaces (i.e. wired & wireless), disable the one not in use.

Once you’ve configured a static IP address on the PC, proceed with the rest of the steps to configure the router and Plex Media Server.
