Need the Head Account to have an option for a 2nd User Name that acts the same as the Main Plex Pass Acct…
To make it clear. I have my main Plex account which I do all maintenance from and then a 2nd Home User account that I use to watch my media. All the perks I am supposed to get from my Plex Pass I do not get to use on the account I actually use for viewing etc. I love this setup because there is no way for anyone unauthorized to use my main account even if left opened by accident because it is the only one I require a Password on and if I leave the Main Maintenance account open by mistake, it times out and asks for a password so no unauthorized use or age inappropriate viewing can occur BUT in my account I use for actual personal viewing, I generally leave it on and open on my main tv and if someone goes to watch something on that account, they can’t peruse anything inappropriate. So in short, can we please have the ability to mark 1 user account as our “King” account as well? Thanks for your consideration
I also do my viewing on a different managed home user than the main Plex account.
It’s nice to keep any media-management “test” playback activity on the main admin account from cluttering up my “watching” dashboard. I even have libraries that aren’t shared with “me”.
One Plex Pass perk I miss out on is Sonos casting.
In my opinion it doesn’t need to be “in addition to”. It would be adequate to specify which (1) user gets the Plex Pass benefits.
Exactly. All the “Testing” I do, even if just to see if the Subs work, all show up in the “on deck” section and is a chore if I had to clean up after each testing session so it is a maintenance account afaic. It leaves my User account accurate with things like where I left of and what I am currently in the middle of if I couldn’t finish something. Yes your idea would work as well but I still don’t see a big deal with making PP available to 2 total users on one account with 1 account being the Main of course. Thanks for your input
