Network acting strangely

Hi All,

I am rather new to RasPlex. but I love the idea and it is working not so bad.

I have a RasPi B 512 and started to play with it last week.

I started with RasPlex version 1.37 which was not really working and I am now on 2.1.

In general I have many connections issues so not sure if it is coming from RasPlex installation or from the RasPi itself.

Especially it appears that I loose the connection to the plex server regularly (meaning that the my library disappear) and usually I have to reboot the RasPi.

So my installation is the following:

Raspi B 512

Plex server on a macmini

What is wierd is teh following:

- When I use the WiFi connection (using a PiHut) the connection to the server looks stable if I use a dhcp IP mode.

if I change it to manual and set a fix IP then I loose frequently the connection to the server and watching video is not really working.

- When I use the wired connection (I am using a PLC connection from RasPlex to my router so not the best choice I now) here it looks like my server is not find at all in dhcp and ip fixe automatically.

But it works not so bad if I add in the settings my myplex account. And video are quite smooth using the local IP address of my server.

So in general I have really difficulties to keep a stable connection between my RasPlex and my server whereas other Plex clients are working fine.

Currenty in the plex log I did not see anything that look valuable but maybe I did not check the right one.

if anyone has an idea where I can look at that would be helpful.

thanks

Flo

By the way I am using the last PMS 0.9.7.28

I just tried again tonight and after a tentative with an update to 2.2 the video were starting but get stuck after few seconds.

Here are the logs after the fresh install and another log after the video crash and the rasplex log file.

I have no clue if it comes from RasPlex, my RasPi or my network…

Sorry forgot to click on attach this file  -_-

After a restart of the macmini it looks better. I am still loosing frames from time to time.

Can it come from my PMS?

If yes do you think I have to reinstall it completely?

I attach some more fresh logs.

Thanks

Flo
