Thank god I am not taping anything with Plex
@sa2000, The 24.x channels are now fixed.
However, StartTV (12.5) is back to the guide being 3 hours ahead. Itâs using EST guide time in the PST time zone. For example the 1st Crossing Jordan should be listed at 1:00 pm PST (correct), but is showing in the guide as 10:00 am (incorrect).
I can see the issue with the time in our EPG data but the data at our provider is at the correct time. It is possible that this error was re-introduced temporarilly and was subsequently fixed again and we would pick the fix at the next data update at our end. I will check again in next 24 hours to see if it corrects itself
sorry i did not check earlier but this appears to be correct now
I can confirm that StartTV (12.5) is now correctly time shifted for PT.
I have noticed that with StartTV, only 7 days of detailed info is provided. The season/episode/details are not listed for shows from day 8 onward. Other channels appear to go further. Gracenote does provide the info for the full guide range. Not a big deal, since it does get fixed when it reaches the 7 day range, but it would be nice if it covered the entire guide range.
We are looking into the default incremental guide updates mechanism and it may be necessary to make adjustments. Do let me know if the episode / season info does not get updated with default guide automatic incremental updates.
It might be useful to save a copy of the EPG database now and then if we come to day 8 and it is still wrong - to take another copy of the database. And after doing that to do a manual EPG refresh and see if that corrects the info. Another copy of the database after completing this refresh would also be useful.
The database for the EPG is held in 3 files within the normal Plex Media Server Plug-in Support\Databases directory and the file names all start with tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud and filename extensions of .db .db-wal and .db.shm
@sa2000, I have been monitoring the StartTV guide and saw that for the most part, it would have the correct guide data for the current day plus 2 or 3 days, while day 4 onward would not have the correct episode info. I did notice that Promised Land recorded this morning, even though I already had the episode. It was because it was missing the season/episode info. The episode title and description were correct. I also see the same issue for this coming Friday. I downloaded the guide database on Aug 28 and today with a before and after a guide refresh. It is attached to this post.
Episodes circled in red are episodes that have already been recorded, thus shouldnât be on the list. This is due to season/episode data being missing in the guide info.
Plex DB.zip (11.5 MB)
I also appear to be having this issue. EST, but everything is shifted fourhours forward and my guide shows that it three hours later than it is. I missed several recordings today.
Windows time zone is properly configured. I have tried both Philadelphia proper and Philadelphia surrounding area program guides. The guide data looks accurate for my zip on the Zap2it website. I performed a channel scan as well. No dice.
Does this remain the same if you do a manual full guide refresh?
At the moment the automatic incremental guide refresh does not pick all changes / adjustments and we are looking into making a change to have an automatic full refresh every night during scheduled tasks.
Does this remain the case after a full manual guide refresh through server settings and Live TV & DVR Settings?
If it does remain shifted by x hours, let me have the country, zip code, lineup name, channel numbers and channel names that are wrong and how much they are shifted by and an example of one airing for each channel
@sa2000, a full guide refresh will correct it for 7 of the 14 days in the schedule.
