Ipad 10th gen. If you try to open the guide for live tv and jump to an upcoming day to see what’s on the guide shows nothing but station name. On current day It only shows a few hours of upcoming programming. So many issues with new app hope they get them fixed. Seems the app was not ready to release. Should have been more testing. Should be some way to go back to previous version. This is not working.

So, this is what the developers are working on?.. Not AMD GPU transcoding? Not a button to download all episodes in a season, or seasons in a show? To download all of mr Rogers’ episodes for my kids to watch, I’m still going to have to hit the download button 1072 times still since that’s how many episodes there are.. why was a new experience prioritized over so many other features which are so painfully missing?

The new experience is much worse than the previous app. Features (and more importantly, core functionality) have been removed in favor of questionably opinionated UI changes. It is as if the feedback from the Testflight population has largely been ignored, which is bitterly disappointing.

todays update has not resolved the Dovi playback issue unfortunately.

Live TV with DVR still not working properly.
Playback of in progress recording goes to start of recording. No ability to view live.
Scrubbing of DVR is not functional. Scrubbing will sometimes break recording itself on server.
Favorite channels all show, ‘This Channel is No Longer Available’. Channels are available on normal Guide tab.
There is reduced recording management within the iOS app. Advanced options missing.
Live TV Guide data goes out only about 10 hours.
There’s more, like downloading, which has been covered in detail by other posts.
iOS app is frustratingly broken. Hope these issues can be fixed soon. I miss being able to use PLEX to its full potential.

- Android Galaxy S23 == I have 34 folder libraries, movies and TV shows. Each genre for movies, when opened you have buttons; recommended, browse and collections. Browse does not work, says there is nothing in library. Does that in every movie folder … all 34 of them.
- In TV shows folder, the browse button only pop up once out of about 30 tries.
- Anything you play has an 80-90% chance not to play. Says problem with server.
- Settings: No option to auto skip intro or credits anymore for TV shows. I looked 20 times, not there.
- Settings look like they’re for someone without a PlexPass. I feel I need more having a Lifetime PlexPass. Heck, even the ones I had I want back!
- Theme choices are more lame.
- App is basically not usable. It went backwards like 50 years. No real testing?? Overlooked even the most basic of functions.
I use phone plex while at work only to make the 12 hours go by, but it’s unusable…at best. 13000 movies 1230 TV shows and nothing on. 
Plz fix or roll back to last week!

And thus begins the slow removal of Watch Together - a function I use nearly every day for multiple hours to watch things with my overseas friends.
Will we go back to being trying to sync things by all pressing play at the same time, or will we convert to another app that does what we need? I suspect it’ll be the latter .. a real shame to lose this in Plex.
Please commit to adding Watch Together back in the new experience.

895 times, but still a lot…lol. I have 892 which is annoying asf. Not went through to see which 3 i’m missing 
Can you share a sample that’s not working? I’m testing ASS here and it looks to be working correctly. The new app uses ExoPlayer as well, with libASS though we have an improved renderer that does more work on the GPU so they should be more performant.

I’m having a problem where all my shows are being squeezed into a smaller window in the middle of the screen, leaving a lot of screen unused on an iPhone 15 Pro.
There doesn’t seem to be any way to manually zoom to fill the screen or change aspect ratio

I’m a long time Plex Pass user and seen a fair amount of changes over the years. This one really does feel a step in the wrong direction and rather unfinished at best. I won’t reiterate issues others have already said, but I also find the app buggy and features I regularly used removed or harder to access.
Some of my biggest annoyances are UI related, like not being able to remove ‘Live TV’ etc.
If you take a look at the various Plex forum posts and Plex subreddit (pretty active), I can’t think of a change that been so universally disliked.

We can’t remove the “Live TV” advertisement button? Oof. Keith really has ruined all goodwill with his paying customers. This better not carry over to the Shield.

I posted a thread about that yesterday but got zero responses, so I guess I’ll post here too:
Since updating the app to the new Plex Experience, TrueHD audio tracks are transcoded to OPUS instead of FLAC on iPad. Before this update, TrueHD was correctly transcoded to FLAC.
It’s resulting in a much quieter and noticeably worse audio quality. Is there a way to have TrueHD tracks transcoded to FLAC like before?

Please consider this blocking issue on iOS 2025.10.2
Totally stuck. 
Once the app launches, it asks for Favourites choice, not displaying anything else than a « continue » button that is useless and that’s it.
Uninstalling / installing doesn’t change anything. Not an issue with network filtering as all options have been tried.
Not related to IOS version since 18.3.2 or 18.4 get the same issue

Well I did update the app, Android, b/c they will eventually break service to older apps. My point from earlier, when speaking of Preview App, still stands. Clicking on a TV show will randomly take me into a Season instead of showing all Seasons available. Also, when clicking on a Season it will take me to the first episode in the Season instead of showing all episodes.
The older app I was able to schedule recordings from OTA and the new update does not have that option outside the guide. Also when i choose an OTA channel via the guide the audio still comes on even though the picture shows audio should be off.
Maybe the look and feel isn’t that different to me because I have been using Plexamp for a few years. It is slow in areas, but I’m sure they will iron that out.
I don’t know how other’s settings were set, but mine were the same from the old app. Things I didn’t want shown then, didn’t show in the new app.

I just updated… Couldn’t find the download feature, came here to understand what was happening, and found out that I can’t download a show or a number of unwatched episodes anymore. The downloads tabs is just unusable this way.
Now I just whish I didn’t updated, like so many times in the past years with Plex as a very long time user.

A lot of user posts here., but posts from the developers are few.
And “ work on triage, organizing and prioritizing bugs, reading and coalescing feedback, etc” is what’s supposed to happen during beta, not during a public release.
At this point, the developers should consider pulling the “New Experience” Apps and return after these bugs have been squashed.

hot pile of garbage. I want the old version back. The entire point of Plex is to have all of my media in a single, convenient, east-to-use place. This new thing is entirely the opposite of that whole sentence. Now I have to have Plexamp to play my music or audiobooks. Why would I want that? In what way is this better?
This is the first time in YEARS that I have regretted spending the money on a lifetime plexpass. If the desktop applications go the same way, I’ll say goodbye to plex. There’s got to be something better out there.
