Hi everyone.
So it says this works for managed users, however with some testing I’ve found this only appears for NEW managed users. Existing managed users do not even have the option in their pinned or full menus. I confirmed using an existing managed user and created a NEW one.
Any ideas without having to delete managed users and create new ones?

Are you sure you are looking at a ‘managed’ user?
Because not every user in a Plex Home is a managed user. Those who are using their own email address and password are full accounts and have their own preference page under https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources where they need to enable ‘LIVE TV’.
If you are 100% positive that you are looking at a managed user, go to the same page https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources and toggle LIVE TV for managed users OFF and back ON.
The Live TV item is supposed to be at the bottom of the full side bar. Not under the name of your server, but under ‘PLEX’.
Confirmed, went into Users & Sharing. All users are ‘Managed User’ under ‘Home Users’. These users are under my account with no plex account assigned (user name / password).
‘test’ is the new account I made about 15 mins ago to test my theory.

Its working for all my managed user but not for my admin user.
Getting the same error on the Plex For Windows app (V. 1.15.0.1354-d31489f0).
Live TV works fine on web player.
I’m seeing the opposite. The Plex provided content is available to my admin account, but none of my managed users can get to the Plex sources at all. I read another user’s report that creating a new user account would allow access to the Plex sources, but that didn’t work on the test account I just created.
It’s possible that these issues are just related to today’s rollout and might only exist for a short time…
Okay so it looks like there was a larger playback issue with Plex for MacOS (and Windows) in v1.5.0 that was fixed in v 1.15.1.1358-43550df5
Installing v 1.15.1.1358-43550df5 restored the LiveTV/DVR playback on the Plex for MacOS app for my existing HDHomeRun Prime tuner, plus I now have access to the new LiveTV from Plex!

Never mind. Relaunched Pex For Windows and things work now.

@Plex Why did you make OTA/Cable "Live TV " seperate from streaming “Live TV” section? There are some good channels, but I’m not going to switch back and forth between Plex live TV and my OTA live tv. Also will there ever be a way to add your own IP streams from a paid subscription IP TV service?
For those of you enjoying your New Live TV Plex Service, well, I’m happy for you and wish you well 
But is it just me or is anyone else concerned that significant dev resources seem to be going into launching garbage “features” such as this, whilst other legitimate bugs and feature suggestions with wide community support go unaddressed/unanswered for months/years at a time?
I know this is not a new gripe, but just felt it was time to call it out again …
I agree - it’s confusing to have 2 categories called “Live TV”, the overall naming of categories needs to be re-thought perhaps?
I’ve never used it, but my understanding is this @ xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR allows iptv to work with plex dvr.

That’s a relief then! I can live with that …
