When clicking deeper into a movie file, actors are listed and typically when clicking on an actor, all the movies associated with the actor is presented. When clicking on newly added movie content as of 2 weeks ago, only the movie that the click originated from is shown. How do I force PMS to associate with the other movie files or is this a server update issue?
Refreshing the library’s metadata should fix this. Otherwise it should fix itself when your server finished its next scheduled tasks cycle.
This has already been discussed in a number of threads. Apparently there’s been some change to how Plex handles actors/directors/… in order to fix some old bug – this change has the side-effect that it’ll only be applied to existing library records as Plex performs its scheduled tasks (or a full library metadata refresh).
Full library metadata refresh completed and clicking actors name or picture still leads to no associated movies except the movie the click originated from. 
Came here looking for this exact issue. I just did a full MANUAL refresh of every movie metadata last month while upgrading my library to make sure there wasn’t going to be any issue with posters and such.
I just refreshed the metadata for “Dune” and watched it tonight, and none of the actors listed had any movie associated. I also noticed this happened for TV Series as well.
I’m assuming this will fix itself only if you have “Refresh library metadata periodically” checked under Scheduled Tasks, which I do not have. Am I correct? I would really like to avoid having to check everything again.

I find that if you search for the IMDB code instead of a title usually finds the metadata for missing content guaranteed.
24 hours after the full refresh of Metadata, everything is working fine. Go figure! 
The refresh can take some time; probably wasn’t finished when you reported yesterday.
