Can no longer access Plex Media Server and Plex keeps telling me to download Plex Media Server which I already have. As such I cannot do anything with my old collection. Even that is missing. Please help.

Based on what you describe, it sounds like you’re trying to access the new server using the hosted web app. In order to complete the setup you first need to open your Plex Media Server through the bundled web app, using its local IP from within the same network.
If you’re on the same machine… open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. If you’re on a different machine inside your home network, use http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web instead. This will bring up a wizard/dialog where you can name your server and link it to your Plex account (as well as creating your first libraries).
You should also be able to trigger that by clicking Open Plex from the PMS icon in your system tray.
Once you “claimed” your server (=linked it to your Plex Media Account), you’ll also be able to access it from other Plex apps or via https://app.plex.tv/desktop.

I’ve tried this and it doesn’t work. There is no Wizard/dialogue and I cannot name my server. I had Plex for years on my old PC before it died. Doesn’t trigger from the system tray either. None of this works and this is no previous history or libraries. I cannot claim a server. If I click on + Your media it asks me to get plex media server despite installing it before.
Is there a way of actually talking to someone by voice? Or remote with Plex?
I seem to have two accounts, for Google and for Hotmail. On neither of them does any of my old history remain. However the drive letters will have changed. Is this why?
How do I know which account was the account I used to use?
The Google one seems to let me manage libraries, but i’m sure it was my other account..oh this is ridiculous.
Did you migrate any data / configuration from your old server? If so, the new setup might still be linked to the other account and treating your current account as not authorized (hence not giving you access).
