New Plex Database Combines Different Versions of Movies

Server Version#: 1.25

I updated the Plex database per Plex’s suggestion and now have an issue with different versions of the same movie (Director’s Cut, IMAX, Extended Edition, etc…). Before, I was able to split the duplicates apart, then use a different agent to scrape Metadata and then rename as I saw fit. With the new Plex Agent, “Fixing Match” just pushes it back to a duplicate of the same movie. Has anyone figured out how to separate two different versions of at movie without having to manually input Metadata?!

Thanks in advance.

you know what’s even worse, i discovered yesterday that even though i had split a movie (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) into the regular ass version and the Justice is Grey release they kept getting confused with each other over subs. Also the played and unplayed status of each one matched each other.

VERY annoying. I had to move it so the library couldn’t see it then the subs worked.

I wonder if it’s due to the IMDB number or whatever not actually being seperate.

It was easy when I was able to select Movie Database as an Agent when “fixing match”, but that option isn’t available anymore!
