I notice the new version having a big bugs - my pin video library keep removed but left only Plex provide Live TV, Movies & Shows and Discover which I don’t watch at all!
Just had this happen to me on my Android Beta 9.2.0.32520 removed all my pins made me reset them and checked ALL Plex Media Notifications to ON. This is extremely frustrating
I’ve been having this issue too. I have 3 libraries called “Movies”, “Shows”, and “Videos”. Shows and videos keep becomming unpinned, while Movies stays pinned.
I haven’t had a chance to deeply debug the exact cause of it, but after force closing and reopening the app they stay pinned. But every day they are unpinned again. I turn my server off overnight, so maybe that is related, or it could be related to the TV being on standby all night.
I have more time tomorrow so I can try more precisely reproducing it then. I’m a little curious if movies would become re-pinned if i unpinned it.
There’s also a reddit thread of people saying they have the same issue.
I had the chance to try reproducing it a little more.
I intentioanlly unpinned my “Movies” libaray once which previously survived the unpinning. Now it gets unpinned like the other libraries. If you can’t reproduce it maybe try unpinning a library once.
Steps to reproduce:
I stop my server software (currenlty running on windows 11)
I force stop my plex android TV app
I start my plex android app.
At this point the problem happens, when the app initially starts I can briefly see my pinned libraries while it’s loading, but when it fails to connect to the server they disappear.
Then when I start the server they don’t get re-pinned.
Outside of this intentional reproduction I assume something similar probably happens naturally with background attempts to access the server while it’s turned off, like loading the android TV home page recommendations.
I’ve installed Plex app update yesterday and problem is half solved. Pinned sources now survive Nvidia Shield reboot but not NSA/Plex Server reboot while Shield and Plex app is open.
It’s amazing how they managed to break basic functionality. Is anyone testing app before pushing to Google play?
