New app version defaults to Plex services only CCWGTV

so on my Chromecast with Google TV dongle when I open Plex now it just defaults to Plex services ie Live TV and Plex movies etc

previously I had this screen customised to show my Plex server and all my libraries.

now to get to this, I have to click more and choose my server. Each library has a pin button but it seems this does nothing if I click on one of the libraries to pin it, it will highlight but then click on next library and first library pin will unhighlight and select new one

other than that there doesn’t seem to be a way to have my Plex default to my server and libraries like before. I hope this is a bug as it’s very annoying

because of this the home page shows nothing about my server and libraries it’s only about Plex services

Plex client version?
Check the Plex app settings. The version should be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

That will help others when they try to duplicate/troubleshoot/resolve the problem.

I worked it out thanks. I had to repin my libraries the app update must have cleared them.

I thought you clicked on the library to pin it didn’t realise you need to toggle left and click. a little bit intuitive but got it working

Happening here as well on an Nvidia Shield with latest version and Plex client 9.2.0. Everytime the Plex server boots, I find only the plex services and my libraries just disappeared.

+1, had a power cut here and I thought that had somehow removed my pinned libraries, but sounds like it’s a bug

I’m on the Google play Beta, so whatever the latest of that is for Nvidia Shield

this is happening on all of my devices. version 9.2.0.32520. didn’t happen before that version.

good luck getting support to actually look at this and do something. don’t know how this company stays in business personally. no phone calles, no emails, just a community forum that no one looks at.

Happening to me on Nvidia Shield as well. Occasionally have to repin sources since the update.

I’m going to need more details and of course android logs. I have multiple Android TV devices so if there is something going on, I’m not seeing it myself. The only time I’ve seen something remotely similar to this is if there was a bad update from the Play Store for some reason. That can mess up the storage cache where all the settings are kept. Uninstall and reinstall usually fixes it. Yes, you will need to repin any sources, but it shouldn’t keep removing themselves.

Thanks for getting back to us. The next time it happens will provide logs. The gist of the matter is every time the server becomes unavailable for any reason, all the sources are automatically unpinned. This happens all the time with Nvidia shield as the Plex app becomes available before the server with each reboot.

I’ve checked with the devs and they are already looking into this issue. Hopefully they can find the solution soon.

Does it mean that bug is confirmed and you can replicate it?

Same here. Only after a reboot of the server. Also, it only seems to affect the server owner account. My other home users are unaffected by this.
