I switched to the new Plex Movie agent a few weeks ago (ran Upgrade Matching and Refreshed All Metadata), and since then it’s been unable to match any new movies. Nothing is matched automatically, and when I try to manually match with Fix Match it can’t find anything - either searching by name or by IMDB id. Updated the server to the latest version, same issue.
I switched the libraries back to Plex Movie (Legacy), and every movie matched without issue.
I can see certain requests returning an error. Is there something special/non-standard about your network configuration (e.g. do you have any proxies or VPNs sitting anywhere on the network)?
However, the VPN did not change, and yet just switching back to Plex Movie (Legacy) was enough for the agent to match the movies correctly.
I don’t know if this is at all related, but checking the Agents under Settings, there’s no listing for the new Plex Movie - there’s only Personal Media, Plex Movie (Legacy), and The Movie Database.
There are a bunch of SSL requests failing for some reason, not only for the movie agent but also other Plex services. If you confirm if the VPN makes a difference or not then we have something to work with.
So I was also unable to check for updates, but when i went to the website and saw 1.22.1.4200 i manually installed and now my movies are matching again and I can check for updates through the plex server.
It works without VPN, fails with VPN. With VPN, trying to find a Match comes up with nothing. Turn off the VPN, try again, and it finds the match right away.
