To save you guys multiple pings, I created a bunch of bug reports for the new agent and then listed them below. Some might be related to Plex Web or directly with the agent/scanners.
Scans for renames/file swaps trigger a delete + create action instead of remapping the new file to the existing library item:
Server Version#: 1.20.0.3181
This issue actually occurred with the legacy Plex movie agent as well, but with the new agent in beta, I figured I could highlight the issue. Basically, when a file is swapped, the movie scanner will delete the movie item and recreate it. This has two impacts. First, the movie is added to the top of the Recently Added queue. Second, it resets the custom poster thumbnails. I can often see any custom posters I have uploaded if I edit the movie, and I have noticed that…
Subs not being picked up by scans but by metadata refresh, sub priority order:
Server Version#: 1.20.0.3181
Player Version#: Plex for Web 4.39.1
Using the latest Plex movie agent, I am a bit confused as to subtitle behavior. I first noticed that if I added an external .srt sub, this would trigger Plex’s automatic library scan like before. However, this library scan did not actually seem to add the external sub as an option. I tried doing a manual scan of my entire library, and it did not pick up new subs. However, as soon as I did a metadata refresh, the sub showed up.

Collection summary edit bugs (custom as well as agent created collections)
Server Version#: 1.20.0.3181
Player Version#: Plex for Web Version 4.39.1
I am noticing a few bugs related to editing collection summaries.
Bug 1: For custom collections I made myself (legacy from older agent), I can now edit the summaries. If I add something to a blank summary, it gets displayed on the specific collection screen properly, but if I try to delete it after that, I get a Something has went wrong screen. Below is the console error, sanitized just in case
Bug 2: For collections m…
Advanced settings not displaying when a Plex Web tab has been inactive for long periods of time due to library folders not being displayed:
Server Version#: 1.20.0.3181
Player Version: Plex for Web 4.39.1
I often leave my app.plex.tv tab open for long periods. I noticed that after some time, if I go to edit the movie library (using the new Plex agent), it does not pick up the folders that were already added to the library, so the advanced settings section is disabled. If I refresh the tab, the folder is picked up again, and I can edit the advanced settings
