New Plex on Roku is literally unusable - remote stops working

Two different Hisense Roku TV’s. Two different or remotes. Android and iOS Roku apps as remotes, same results.

Once I start playback, most remote buttons stop working. TV light blinks on response to IR remote button presses. UI “clicks” with button presses (IR or app remote). No response ever from OK, arrow buttons only work inconsistently. I have to fully restart the TV to get Plex to accept input properly again.

But that literal showstopper aside, it’s unspeakably awful. Family who use it cannot find their shows, library selection is painful, it’s extremely annoying to navigate to straight library views (I cannot begin to say how little I care about recommendations of my own media)…

Has there been any comment from Plex? Because at this point I’m just telling family members to switch to Jellyfin which… works.

Once they get used to Jellyfin, they aren’t likely to go back to have to learn another new UI.

I understand bugs happen. But this is making the app literally unusable, and as this is paid software (points to Plex pass) I expect it to work, or at least get some information as to what’s going on.
