New Plex Pass, Server Showing Offline

I purchased a Plex Pass a few days ago so that I could access Plex via my XBox One.  I followed the instructions for setting it up, but it seems that no matter what I do my personal server shows as offline.  The server of a friend shows online, and I can access their content.

I have gone through the options listed in the article here:

https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204604227

It mentions that if it still isn't working at that point, the forums are your best bet.

I'm not sure how much of this is relevant, so forgive me if this gets a bit long.

My Plex server is operational, and I am signed in both at the upper right corner and under the "Server" settings.  I can access it with no problems within my home network from a browser.  Friends are able to successfully access it via Roku from outside my network.  When I attempt to access my Plex Media server from IE on my xbox one, it tells me that I am trying to open an unsupported application.  I assume that this means it is at least reaching the media server successfully, or I would expect a 404 or 500.

My Plex Media server version is listed as 0.9.11.7.  My XBox One shows up under Devices, at one point several different times as I attempted to troubleshoot.  I do not use a VPN or a Proxy.  The XBox is connected to my network via wireless, and the PC on which Plex runs is wired.  I only have one subnet, and both server and xbox are on it.

I have uninstalled the Plex app from my xbox one multiple times, ditto for reboots.  I have also rebooted my Plex Media Server for good measure, all to no avail.

I'm a bit stuck at this point.  I get  no more information from the Plex app other than the name of my server and the word "Offline."  My Plex Media Server is accessible and properly functional for every device I've tried it with, minus the xbox.

I also stood up another instance of Plex Media Server on the same server as before with a different IP.  Again, it showed up in the Plex App on my xbox but showed as Offline.

Have you successfully connected your server to plex.tv?

This guide was recently updated with the current options:

Even though the Xbox One will stream everything locally, it needs the outside connection to Plex.tv to look up your servers information to connect to it.

I read through the link you provided, and have already completed the necessary steps there.  I can access my home Media Server from plex.tv through the browser, and I have friends who are successfully able to access my server via Roku from their homes.  Additionally, I was able to successfully load plex.tv via Internet Explorer on my XBox, so it looks as though it is able to get out ok.

One note, though.  In my Media Server's Remote Access settings page, I have a manual port specified (and configured in my router), but the section above states that it is "Not available outside your network."  I'm not sure if I need this or not, though, since as I said at least two friends are able to externally access my Server.  I tried with this briefly enabled yesterday and it didn't seem to make a difference, but I didn't do a ton of testing.  I'm not sure if it is necessary for the connection from the XBox to work or not.

Edit: I enabled that section, shut down my xbox (not standby), logged out of Plex on my server, logged back in, started the XBox, and tried again.  The result was no different.  I disabled the Remote Access again.

That is weird, it sounds like even though it is successfully connecting some clients it is having trouble staying connected.

If you goto plex.tv/devices  do both your server and xbox one appear there?  I am guessing your Server should based on people being able to stream from you.  But this page will show you the last time the apps/server 'phoned home' to plex.tv

Yup.  I see my Media Server phoned in "a few seconds ago," and I see the XBox One at 27 minutes ago, which was around when I restarted it to perform that test.  I have had it off since.

In the past when I was restarting the Plex App on the XBox often, I would see multiple instances of the XBox One app listed here and would remove all but the most recent one.  My guess at the time was that the way I was closing the app wasn't cleaning up the connection.  Either that or Plex hangs on to it for x hours in case it reconnects.
