The server owner must deactivate Sync View State & Ratings.
Unclear if others with access must also do so (I’ve not seen anything definitive either way).
View State Sync runs when PMS starts and every 30 minutes afterward.
You can look in Plex Media Server.log (and .1.log to .5.log) for entries with ViewStateSync
.

You must uninstall the current version then install the earlier version. Synology does not support direct fallback. See FAQ 8: Uninstalling PMS - Reverting to a previous version.
