New version of PMS for Linux will not record certain programs

Server Version#: 1.42.1.10060
Since upgrading to 1.42.1.10060 Plex Media Server for Linux, I am unable to schedule recording of certain Free to Air programs.

Specifically, I am in Melbourne Australia and I wish to record the local “ABC News” at 7:00pm each night.

If I request recording all episodes of “ABC News” on the local ABC channel, PMS overrides my request and instead schedules a recording of “ABC National News”. This is not what I want.

I tried deleting all past episodes but this did not fix it.

I also tried refreshing the Guide to no avail.

The thing that DID fix it was reverting to an older (version 1.41.6.9685) of PMS for Linux which works perfectly.

I’ll leave the older version in place for a while as I really prefer the local news, rather than the National news, and also the local one is HD while the National one is only SD.

Yes, I guess this does match my experience.

I can add that it started failing when I upgraded to 1.42.1 and started working correclty when I reverted to 1.41.6.

I can confirm that both plexmediaserver-1.42.1.10060-4e8b05daf.x86_64.rpm and plexmediaserver-1.42.2.10102-50deb00d9.x86_64.rpm suffer from this issue, but plexmediaserver-1.41.6.9685-d301f511a.x86_64.rpm does not.

The latter works, but might expose you to other security threats.
